e-books list

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh...

As I promised, I've published a list of the e-books I have in hafizh's books. If any FPSK-ian or FPg-ian want them, just ask me any time. InsyaAllah I'll put up a list of the (paper) books I have soon(not too many at the moment).

Since I got them either from my brother(lots of thanks to ngah...may Allah accept your amal!!! This is how good deeds flower into more good deeds) or haluantarbawi.com which is currently offline for upgrading, I can't give any links from which to download them. If anyone knows of any sites or blogs where we can download islamic e-books, do share with everyone.

May Allah be pleased with all of us.

America and Unconventional weapons

OK...Seriously...humour is good but even it must have limits. Anyway I was(am still at the time of writing) searching for materials for my Special Study Module(SSM) under the key word 'unconventional weapons' when I came across this really funny article:

Panel Fears Use of Unconventional Weapon
WASHINGTON — An independent commission has concluded that terrorists will most likely carry out an attack with biological, nuclear or other unconventional weapons somewhere in the world in the next five years unless the United States and its allies act urgently to prevent that.
In a report to be released this week, the Congressionally mandated panel found that with countries like Iran and North Korea pursuing nuclear weapons programs, and with the risk of poorly secured biological pathogens growing, unconventional threats are fast outpacing the defenses arrayed to confront them.
“America’s margin of safety is shrinking, not growing,” the bipartisan panel concluded.
...
“Unless the world community acts decisively and with great urgency, it is more likely than not that a weapon of mass destruction will be used in a terrorist attack somewhere in the world by the end of 2013,” the report states in the opening sentence of the executive summary.
...
Several of the recommendations are not new and have been pursued with varying degrees of success by the Bush administration. On Pakistan, for example, the panel urges the Obama administration to work with Pakistan to eliminate that country’s terrorist havens, secure its nuclear and biological materials, counter extremist ideologies and constrain a “nascent nuclear arms race in Asia.”
...
The commission urges the Obama administration to work to halt the Iranian and North Korean nuclear weapons programs, backing up any diplomatic initiatives with “the credible threat of direct action” — code for military action, a commission official said.
...
The commission also criticized the administration and Congress for not organizing themselves more effectively to combat the threat of unconventional weapons. The report recommended a single White House-level office or individual responsible for directing the nation’s policy to prevent the spread of unconventional weapons and their possible use by terrorists.

Like the 9/11 Commission, this panel called for overhauling the jurisdiction of the Congressional committee that reviews the proliferation of unconventional weapons. “Congressional oversight is dysfunctional,” the report concluded.
[By: Eric Schmitt, New York Times, 30 November 2008]
.......................................................................................................................................................................
Now compare what you've read above with this:
"The Israelis are using a new type of very high explosive weapons which are called Dense Inert Metal Explosive (DIME) and are made out of a tungsten alloy. These weapons have an enormous power to explode."

"these weapons will have a cancer effect on those who survive. They will develop cancer we suspect."
"All that is happening in Gaza here now is against international law, it is against humanity"
"Almost all of the patients we have received have these sever amputations. They seem to have been affected by this kind of weapon. Of course, we have many fragment injuries and burns but those who have got their limbs cut off, constitutes quite a large proportion.
You know we have a lot to do. Palestinian doctors, nurses and paramedics do an incredibly heroic job to save their people. Doctor Eric and I are just a small drip in the ocean, but we learn from them." And then decide where do you stand.
We stand with the people of Palestine whose lives are being destroyed. We stand in solidarity with their struggle.
We stand for humanity against the US-Israeli war criminals.
Michel Chossudovsky, Global Research, January 5, 2009
...
Well so much for america getting rid of UNCONVENTIONAL WEAPONS.
But seriously...from the advocator of PEACE(?) and the hero of ridding the world of unconventional weapons(?) to the PERPETRATOR and ACCOMPLICE of WAR CRIMES using those very weapons they (supposedly) want to protect humanity against. The world can really turn upside down.
“America’s margin of safety is shrinking, not growing.”
Hmm...America might want to reconsider helping the Israeli zionists out.
After all...to them, gentiles are still gentiles (heck even their own Jewish brothers that don't help out have their lives forfeit)...and gentiles are just worthless dogs.
America's margin of safety keeps shrinking...
Though maybe from a whole other direction.

CAREFUL !!!

I was perusing through some discussions in a social network that I belong to when I came across a VERY IMPORTANT topic.
Although I've spread the word to all the e-mail groups I've joined, the gravity of the message was such that I have to spread it through all means available to me. This is the message. Please SPREAD THE WORD as far as you can, even if you already have in the past. A fresh reminder is always needed.

Books

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh...
To my dearest parents, my cute little brothers(although all of you are taller or on the way to becoming taller than me :p ), my dear friends, and every muslim who have sworn themselves to Allah on the day they declared themselves as muslims.
May all of you be ever in Allahs care...

Why the sudden elaborate greeting?...well...As I was walking here(azeezah station) I suddenly remembered this responsibility of ours as muslims - to spread the love of Islamic brotherhood. The first one to greet his brother is the better one, even though the initial greeting is only sunat whereas replying is wajib. The companions of the Prophet SAW always tried to best each other at being the first to greet his brother.

Anyhow...

When I opened my blog just now I found a very interesting comment dropped by one of my friends in hafizh's books.

It was suggested that I put up links to the websites where I download all my ebooks. A very good idea that I didn't think of. InsyaAllah I'll try to do that as soon as possible.

An easier way I think - at least for the USIM Pandan people, is to just get the files from me. I have quite a few Islamic ebooks that I would really love to share with everyone.

Oh...and just for the record :p...I mostly buy my books(or rather, my PARENTS buy them). I have a small library in my room(most of the stuff I 'borrow' from our family library at home). I'd be more than glad to lend anyone these books. The guys are more than welcome to come and have a look, and for the ladies...insyaAllah I'll put up a list of the books I currently have(I returned quite a few to the main library back home when I went back for the GP posting).

Anyway...If anyone wants to see the books...just ask.

Thanks for idea usop.

Our greatest weapon

"Nay, Allah is your Protector, and He is The Best of Helpers.

Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, for that they joined partners with Allah, for which He sent no authority: their abode will be the fire: and evil is the home of the wrongdoers"

[Surah Aali-Imran 3 : 150-151]

"Those to whom men said: "A great army is gathering against you, so fear them": but it (only) increased their faith: they said: for us Allah sufficeth, and He is the best Guardian".

[Surah Aali-Imran 3 : 173]

Our prayers and our supplications before Allah is the greatest weapon, whether we are at an advantage or at a disadvantage.

"For Allah is He Who gives (all) sustenance - Lord of Power, Steadfast (forever)".

[Surah az-Zaariyaat 51 : 58]

In these hard days - that shall not be over until Palestine (which includes what is now the illegal terrorist state of israel) is once again in our hands, Islam is once again the supreme Guardian of the world - when our brothers and sister in Palestine are being slaughtered by the minute, when we ourselves are being pelterred with ma'siat left and right, let us continue to forward the qunut Nazilah to Allah, The Lord of Power.

May He strengthen us, keep us steadfast on the one accepted path. The path to success or martyrdom.

InsyaAllah a 3 part guide for performing the qunut Nazilah will be published in the next 3 days on hafizh's cie. May Allah Allah accept our efforts and prayers. Ameen.

Damaskus bercucuran air mata

"Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, Wahai Yang Maha Hidup Yang Maha Memelihara,

Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, Wahai Yang Maha Hidup Yang Maha Memelihara,

Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, Wahai Yang Maha Hidup Yang Maha Memelihara,

Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, Wahai Yang Maha Hidup Yang Maha Memelihara,

Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, Wahai Yang Maha Hidup Yang Maha Memelihara,

Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, Wahai Yang Maha Hidup Yang Maha Memelihara,

managing 4 blogs

I'm just starting to promote my blogs and already two of my friends are wondering how I am going to manage 4 blogs...I also wonder :p

I suppose there are people out there who can manage many blogs, but I definitly am not one of them. Seriously even managing a single blog might be troublesome, and I'm still a newbe too.

How am I going to do it?...well...I'm not.

I'm only going to manage 1 blog: hafizh's blog(s).

I like to compartmentalise. It allows me to see things clearer and keeps my goals in sight. The 4 blogs are essentially 1, its just that I've decided to share different things in separate blogs.
I suppose tagging is also OK, but since its just as easy to create 4 separate blogs, I thought: why not.

to make it easier to see which blogs have been updated, I've added a blog list on the side bar with update info.
Anyway to my dearest parents, my cute lil brothers, my beloved family, my treasured friends and anyone dropping by, welcome to hafizh's blogs. I hope that we can all gain something of worth in the Eyes of Allah.

Perkara 5

KELIMA :

Kita wajib berpendirian seperti firman Allah swt bermaksud,

Firman Allah swt bermaksud,

Firman Allah swt bermaksud,

Sabda Rasulullah saw bermaksud,

Firman Allah swt bermaksud,

Firman Allah swt bermaksud,

Firman Allah swt bermaksud,

(Al-Israk:1).

Palestin: Kenyataan 40 Ulama Al Azhar

[Dipetik daripada HALUANPalestin]

Januari 15 2009,

40 orang ulama' Azhar, Mesir mengeluarkan kenyataan berikut:

Segala puji bagi Allah, Tuhan sekelian alam. Tiada Tuhan selain Dia, Maha Kuat, Maha Penentu, Maha Perkasa, Maha Menguasai, Maha Esa, Maha Menentukan.

Ahaha

From Khalid Amayreh in Occupied East Jerusalem

Israeli Prime Minister has stopped short of saying that Israel controls the US government. Speaking to the Israeli media this week, Olmert said he had asked President Bush to order Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to abstain in a key UN vote on the Israeli genocidal onslaught in the Gaza Strip.

“She was left shamed. A resolution that she prepared and arranged, and in the end she didn’t vote in favor,” said Olmert, bragging about “our clout and influence” in the US .

“We didn’t want her to vote in favor of the resolution. And this is what we eventually got.”
Olmert said he demanded rather aggressively to talk to President Bush and when Bush was on the phone, he told him to order Rice not to vote for the resolution.

“I said ‘get me President Bush on the phone.’ They said he was in the middle of giving a speech in Philadelphia . I said I didn’t care. I need to talk to him now. He got off the podium and spoke to me.

“I told him the US could not vote in favor. It cannot vote in favor of such a resolution. He (Bush) immediately called the Secretary of State and told her not to vote in favor.”

However, a State Department spokesperson has been quoted as denying Olmert’s claim.

“Mr. Olmert is wrong,” the official said.
“Even if everything had gone according to plan, she would have abstained. That was the plan,” said the official. “Israel does not make US policy.”

In 2001, an acrimonious argument reportedly erupted during the Israeli cabinet weekly session between then Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and then foreign Minister Shimon Peres during which Sharon reportedly yelled at Peres, saying: "Don't worry about American pressure, we control America."

Peres reportedly warned Sharon that refusing to heed incessant American requests for a cease-fire with the Palestinians would endanger Israeli interests and turn the US against Israel.

At this point, a furious Sharon turned toward Peres, saying:

"Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear:

“Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it."

Peres and other cabinet ministers reportedly warned Sharon against saying what he said in public, because "It would cause us a public relations disaster."

Israeli sources denied the story.

memories of the sun

The GP clinic that I'm attached to has a break from 1 pm to 2.30 pm, so every day at one o'clock sharp(I'm very punctual when it comes to breaks) I'd leave the comfortable air-conditioned room where I practice/study, into the blazing afternoon sun to the car(which is usually pretty far since parking spots are hard to get) and then drive home for lunch and zohor prayers.

Every (week) day for the past two weeks I meet the sun when it's at it's best(read: hottest and brightest). Well...not that I don't see it every day, but I usually find a reason to stay out of the afternoon sun (skin cancer!), plus it's been (very) sunny throughout my GP posting (don't talk about rain, I don't even see clouds!). So you can imagine if I've developed a greater respect for our star.

One day, as my brain was being fried by the afternoon sun, an old memory came back to me...

A memory of the sun...

It was one of those times that I was forced to bear the afternoon sun...stomach calls...I walked in the shades as much as I could(which in Ampang isn't much). I was walking under some trees, thinking that I was protected from the bright and hot rays when a wind came and parted the branches, and I found myself looking directly at the sun.

Obviously I instantly diverted my sight, but then every other part of my skin that was exposed to the sun felt like it was being boiled.

A thought came to me then:

This is the sun at 8.3 light minutes (149 600 000 km) from the Earth. What is it going to be like on the Day of Reckoning when the sun is only a spans(jengkal) distance from our head?

And another thought came as I pondered the first:

The sun even after being weakened by distance and Earths atmosphere can force me to lower my head. What then of The Creator of the sun, and of countless other 'suns' some far brighter and hotter than our own. Does obeisance then not belong to Him alone?

The only meaning to life is in servitude to Allah.

Parking spot

Looking at my watch I knew that I had almost no chance of getting a parking spot. The clinic that I am attached to is located in a very busy place. Just a few minutes makes all the difference. Well...I was about to learn that all it takes is a few seconds...

As I thought all the parking lots were full. Even the roadside with the yellow line staring at everyone as clear as day was lined with cars and motor bikes, and trucks and lorries that don't look like they were going to be moving any time soon. Well it's not like we Malaysians ever really cared much for such petty details. And theres even a police station glaring down at the road. I often wonder how everyone was getting away with it all.

Anyhow I was already as pessimistic as I can get about getting a parking spot, but I went to look anyway, just in case...and out of the blue the imposssible happened. A car actually vacated a parking lot just as I passed.

Alhamdulillah. A gift from Allah no doubt.

I drove some way ahead to turn around at a petrol station. It wouldn't take more than a few seconds to turn around and take the parking spot. And as it was already way past 9, all the office workers should already be in. There shouldn't be anyone coming to take that one precious spot right - WRONG.

Those mere few moments was all it took for someone to come in an snugly park their car in that one spot I was aiming for. To make it more ironic, they did it right in front of my eyes. Well...they signaled to go in before I did, so it was rightfully theirs. Just a few seconds late. What could I do, it just wasn't meant for me.

But I thought then as I glanced sadly at that one precious parking spot that could have been mine:

Is this not how all of Allahs gifts are? Not ours by default.

I felt most strongly then about the most precious of gifts - the gift of Iman. If we do not 'take' it, if we do not appreciate it, then Allah can always fill the slot in with others, and it will only be our loss.

May Allah give strength to those pure souls who have given their selves to the service of Allah, as did the du'aat before us, as did the companions before them, as did Rasulullah SAW and the prophets before that.

Bangunlah hai pemuda

'Bangunlah hai pemuda'. One of my earlier works. I hope it will be of benefit to everyone, and is accepted as an act of servitude by The One and Only That I serve. I have published it in hafizh's CIE.
